  • We would like to give you a very warm welcome to our church and community. We are a vibrant, loving, child-friendly, inclusive parish within the catholic Anglican tradition of the Church of England in Central Barnet. We have a multi-generational congregation which reflects the cultural diversity of London life. We offer a traditional, friendly and relaxed approach to worship. We are noted for being toddler-tolerant and children are central to our church.

Our vision at St John’s is to develop a caring community with a vibrant all-age worshipping congregation that is compassionate to the needs of our community. We wish to be as creative as possible to show the people of Whetstone that God loves them and that we care for them.

Praise and thanksgiving are at the heart of all we do and we encourage our neighbours and community to join us in our fellowship activities.

  • Well done to Rob Wright, Marguerite Brereton, Camille Fraser & Richard Jones who took part in today’s “Walk in their Shoes” sponsored walk to raise funds for the Together in Barnet Night Shelter charity.  If you haven’t sponsored the team and wish to do so there is a form at the back of the Church for this purpose. Please fill in your details there. Thank you too to all those who helped provide refreshments for walkers as they progressed through Whetstone.
