• This Week

  • We would like to give you a very warm welcome to our church and community. We are a vibrant, loving, child-friendly, inclusive parish within the catholic Anglican tradition of the Church of England in Central Barnet. We have a multi-generational congregation which reflects the cultural diversity of London life. We offer a traditional, friendly and relaxed approach to worship. We are noted for being toddler-tolerant and children are central to our church.

Our vision at St John’s is to develop a caring community with a vibrant all-age worshipping congregation that is compassionate to the needs of our community. We wish to be as creative as possible to show the people of Whetstone that God loves them and that we care for them.

Praise and thanksgiving are at the heart of all we do and we encourage our neighbours and community to join us in our fellowship activities.

  • The new Audio Visual system to replace the current 20-year-old sound system is now operational and has been successfully tested. Comments on this new system are welcomed.

A display of the main part of the plans for our new Church Hall is available to view in the church.

We understand that Chipping Barnet Area Planning Committee is set to make a decision about our new hall plans. Revd Lynn requests prayers for the outcome to be successful.
